The update happened on Thursday, Sept. 27, according to Google’s Matt Cutts, and is dubbed Panda 20. It’s not just a data refresh but an algorithm update effecting about 2.4% of English queries, according to Google.

It’s a major Panda update, and comes after an update in late summer. It means every more work for SEO, as Google places even more importance on authoritative, unique content, and as some sites struggles to recover.
